Keep Oakland Housed helps people stay in their homes

On this edition of Your Call, we’ll discuss what it will take to prevent even more people from becoming homeless.

A new program in Oakland, California has kept nearly 500 households from losing their homes. The $9 million project,Keep Oakland Housed, was launched last year. Nonprofit groups provide legal representation, emergency financial assistance, and supportive services to keep people from being forced onto the streets. What will it take to expand programs like this?
