On this edition of Your Call, we're discussing why 75 million people voted for Donald Trump's plan to forcibly deport millions of undocumented immigrants.

Trump has chosen Tom Homan, who oversaw the family separation policy in his first term, to be his "border czar," and the white nationalist immigration hard-liner Stephen Miller as his deputy chief of staff.

Today, the California Clemency Coalition is leading a rally in Sacramento to call on Governor Gavin Newsom to grant pardons to immigrants at risk of detention, as he has done before. The Immigrant Resource Legal Center is urging President Biden to take steps to protect immigrants before he leaves office. How are communities preparing?

Guests:

Dr. Iliana G. Perez, executive director of Immigrants Rising

Sameera Hafiz, policy director for the Immigrant Legal Resource Center

Masih Fouladi, executive director of the California Immigrant Policy Center
