Radio Poets 2017: Melany Perez
"The White Moon"
Melany Perez, E. R. Taylor Elementary
The moon shines in the night. The moon turns white and so bright in the black sky.
The moon looks white, shines very white.
In the moon I see a shadow of a fox in a box clapping and laughing. The moon comes up, the moon comes down trying to find a new place to shine again.
All of the cows look at the moon at night and say mooooo.
When I see the moon I feel like a star way up high.
Every night the moon shines above the stars.
At dawn the moon sleeps waiting for another nightfall again.
Airs on KALW Friday, April 7 3:18pm & 6:58pm.
