Vets Vs Hate

On the August 3rd edition of Your Call, we’re talking about what happens to veterans once they return home.

More than 90,000 soldiers have been deployed to a combat zone four or more times, the largest number in modern history. Politicians at the recent conventions talked about the importance of taking care of veterans, but who’s pushing for legislation that addresses trauma, PTSD, violent behavior, and suicide? Fifteen years after the U.S. invaded Afghanistan, why haven’t these issues been seriously addressed? It’s Your Call with Rose Aguilar and you.

Guests
Michael McPhearson, veteran, executive director of Veterans For Peace

Perry O’Brien, veteran, co-founder of #VetsVsHate
