Sights and Sounds is your weekly guide to the Bay Area arts scene through the eyes and ears of local artists. This week, host Jenee Darden sat down with Cirque du Soleil clown Kelsey Custard to talk about three events happening in the Bay Area this weekend.

The San Francisco Fall Cider Fest is happening! Grab a glass and enjoy over 20 flavors from juicy apple and sweet-honey sage to floral-dry hopped ciders. Fire pits for roasting marshmallows, live music, apple pie empanadas — this is just the event to enjoy some cooler weather.

The Punchline’s regualar standup comedy showcase has been running every Sunday for the last 30 years, and it's the spot where stars like Patton Oswalt and Margaret Cho first made a name for themselves. Keep in mind you must be 18-plus to attend, and there is a two drink minimum.

Whether you’re a burner yourself or you’re just curious about this iconic festival, No Spectators: The Art of Burning Man is a must see. It will be bring some amazing artwork to the Oakland Museum of California. See large scale sculptures and beautiful artwork from one of the most unique cultural events in the world. This exhibition is running from October 12, 2019 to February 16, 2020.

Check out Kelsey Custard performing in the show Amaluna through January 2020.
