Sights & Sounds: Crystal Vielula
Sights & Sounds is your weekly guide to the Bay Area arts scene. This week, guest host Truc Nguyen sat down with queer artist Crystal Vielula to talk about three arts events happening around the Bay Area this weekend.
Some great local artists are showing their work at B4BEL4B Gallery in Oakland in an exhibition called Drawing Now: Dynamic New Visions--and there's an opening event happening this Friday at 8pm!
The Laundry is a gallery, cafe, and work space for artists in San Francisco, and this Saturday the event Generations will feature arts, craft, music and dance with local musicians like the folk group Caravans 22 and the 30 woman vocal ensemble The Venus Conspiracy. KPOO’s Rockin Jim will also be there.
The annual Folsom Street Fair is an iconic event of San Francisco culture--and it's this Sunday! Billed as the world's biggest leather event, there will be live music, dancing, and 200 exhibitor booths.
You can check out Crystal Vielula’s mural in Clarion Alley and soon enough, a 2-story mural outside of Jolene’s bar in San Francisco’s Mission District.
