“Bombazo en la Bahia-Returning to the Root!” is on Sunday, 4:30pm at the AU Lounge in Downtown Oakland. This is a fundraiser for Taller Bombalele, which promotes Afro-Puerto Rican roots music and the dance tradition of Bomba. The event is a family affair with Cuban cuisine for sale.
The monthly party Soulovely is going down Sunday, 3pm at 7th West in Oakland Soulovely is, a sassy, soulful, daytime, outdoor Oakland party, that is QTBIPOC centered. In Lak esh Dance Academy will be performing live.
Constellationsfeatures resident DJs Nina Sol, Wonway Posibul and Hey Love, plus special guests. Get your weekend started early at the Starline Social Club in Downtown Oakland on Thursday night at 10 pm.
Party this Saturday with DJ Cecilas he spins on the main stage at the 20th Anuual Laurel StreetFair World Music Festival.
