Sights & Sounds is your weekly guide to the Bay Area arts scene through the eyes and ears of local artists. Our guest is Krista Fatka: comedian and co-producer of Festa Comedy night at Festa Lounge in San Francisco.

Fatka told KALW’s Jen Chien about three cool arts events happening this week around the Bay.

On Sunday, 1/10, San Francisco Sketchfest presents the Great Collaborators tribute: Billy Crystal and Alan Zweibel in conversation at the Castro Theatre. Crystal and Zweibel met in the 1970's when both were performing stand-up comedy. The two friends have worked together on various projects, the most recent of which is a solo Broadway show based on stories from Crystal's life called "700 Sundays."

FATKA: It'll be interesting to see how two long-time collaborators interact with each other.

Mortified Live has two Bay Area shows this weekend: Friday, 1/8, at DNA Lounge in San Francisco; and Saturday, 1/9, at New Parish in Oakland. Mortified is a storytelling series where adults share their teenage diaries, childhood poems, or lyrics onstage in front of an audience.

FATKA: It's kind of perfect and innocent. You look back and it's so funny to see the things you cared so much about.

Pop That, Booty Bass Pizza Party happens tonight, 1/7, at Elbo Room in San Francisco. Free pizza and drink specials accompany DJs Custo, DeeJay Theory, and Umami playing Baltimore Club, Ghetto House, Miami Bass, Twerk, Rap, Dancehall, and 80s music.

FATKA: I feel like it's gonna be an eclectic fun mix to shake your booty to and have a good time.
