Sights & Sounds is your weekly guide to the Bay Area arts scene. Terrance Kelly, Artistic Director of the Oakland Interfaith Gospel Choir told KALW’s Jen Chien about three wonderful events happening around the Bay this weekend.

City Dance is a studio in San Francisco specializing in urban dance forms. City Dance: Spring Onstage is their annual showcase featuring both students and internationally recognized dancers. International talent includes Les Twins, The Seaweed Sisters, Julia Adam Dance, Slim Boogie and Ynot. Spring Onstage will take place at the Palace of Fine Arts Theatre on Saturday, April 15th, at 8:00 p.m.
KELLY: My family are Beyoncé nuts, so we know all about Les Twins. They're classically trained, so you see that in their dance, but they have all the krump and the hip-hop movements and stuff.
North Bay Community Choir’s Hour of Power is a monthly 90 minute worship experience at Rehoboth Church Of God In Christ in Vallejo that’s also broadcast live on KBLX. This month's Hour of Power is their Easter Musical and will be held at the church and broadcast on-air from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, April 16th.
KELLY: They are an amazing group. I think they're three years old, and they sound like they've been together 20 years.
Undefined Visible/Invisible Black Woman is an art show at Joyce Gordon Gallery in Oakland. This is a traveling exhibit by four women artists – Ruth Maclin, Wendy Kendrick, LaTosha Matthews, and JenitaLandrum – with work that examines a world where black women and black female images are visible, yet invisible. The exhibition is up through April 29th.
KELLY: It's a beautiful exhibit. The art is different, but it's vibrant and emotional. It's art you can feel something from.
