From the series Uncuffed:

Maimon Pony’s career as a pianist was cut short by drug addiction. In Solano State Prison, he keeps practicing and waits for his release.

"I was nine years old. I was in a Nordstrom with my mom, and the piano player underneath the escalators, he went off to take a break. And I went on the piano and started playing, and they hired me on the spot."

Watch videos of Maimon playing piano before his incarceration.
