SF Film Festival’s “Unsettled” features LGBTQ refugees in the Bay Area

The San Francisco International Film Festival is in full swing, featuring films inspired by the spirit and values of the Bay Area.  One documentary showing this week is called “Unsettled: Seeking Refuge in America.” It introduces us to four young LGBTQ refugees who came to San Francisco from the Congo, Angola, and Syria.

"They became pretty paranoid and traumatized to have anyone around them know that they were LGBT."

Producer Jen Gilomen discusses the film and its subjects as they made San Francisco their new home.

"Unsettled" is showing on Wednesday, April 17  in San Francisco and on Thursday, April 18 in Oakland.

This interview was produced by Lisa Wang.
