On this edition of Your Call, we’ll talk about the state of Social Security and the retirement crisis in the US.

Around half of households aged 55 or older had no retirement savings at all in 2013. More than 62 million beneficiaries received Social Security in 2018 – and their average annual benefit was less than $16,000. Congress is expected to hold hearings on expanding Social Security for the first time in almost half a century. What will it take to save and expand Social Security?
