Your Call: How will rising sea level affect Bay Area communities?

MTC's Vital Signs
2012 Population at Risk of Impacts from Sea Level Rise of 3 Feet

On the December 7the edition of Your Call, we kick-off our week-long climate coverage by discussing sea level rise in the Bay Area.
Tidal gauge at the Golden Gate Bridge have measured an 8 inch rise over the past century. Climate change is accelerating that rate. By the end of this century sea level is projected to rise 17 to 66 inches. Even before then, in just a few decades, parts of San Mateo and Treasure Island will be underwater. Hundreds of thousands of people, as well as roadways, airports, hospitals, and businesses stand at risk.

Where are we most vulnerable? How do we prepare? Join the conversation on Your Call with, Hana Baba and you.
