Howard Wiley: California Love

The Berkeley-born saxophonist performs at the SFJazz Center on March 23.

A Resident Artistic Director at SFJazz through 2025, Wiley’s performance is a celebration of soul-jazz, funk, gospel, and R&B steeped in West Coast flavor. He and his ensemble join host Devon Strolovitch live in the studio this Sunday, March 17 at 4 pm.

Devon Strolovitch studied medieval Judeo-Portuguese manuscripts and earned a PhD in Linguistics from Cornell University before coming to KALW. He is the Senior Producer of Philosophy Talk, and since 2007 has hosted Fog City Blues, the weekly digest of Blues in the Bay Area and beyond.
