Always singing: Lavay Smith & Her Red Hot Skillet Lickers

Singer Lavay Smith

Lavay Smith and Her Red Hot Skillet Lickers have been one of San Francisco’s favorite bands since they started performing together in 1989. Their signature retro sound was right at home in the swing revival of the '90s, but they’ve made it through from “trendy” to “classic.”

Lavay's big, bluesy voice and glamorous style have made her a mainstay of the music scene, and the Skillet Lickers themselves are some of the Bay Area’s most accomplished jazz musicians.

SIEBERT: People love live music. You can't kill it.

Lavay Smith and Red Hot Skillet Lickers will be performing live any night this weekend. See them Friday, 6/3,at Club Deluxe in the Haight Ashbury, Saturday, 6/4, at Ashkenaz in Berkeley, or Sunday, 6/5, at the Royal Cuckoo in the Mission.
