This week, BAY MADE is proud to feature KALW’s Philosophy Talk, which has been produced with Stanford University since 2003.
So why are we choosing to feature Philosophy Talk right now? The Trump administration recently canceled more than 1200 grants already awarded by the National Endowment for the Humanities. Philosophy Talk was among those grantees. And the NEH clawed back $38,000 that was supposed to fund the show’s current mini-series Wise Women. Hear what the fuss is all about.
On today’s show, hosts Josh Landy and Ray Briggs discuss how to make the United States’s system of governance more fair and truly representative.
You can donate to Philosophy Talk here. (it'll take you to a Stanford page; don't worry: you are in the right place!)
