SFUSD Community Information Sessions: The San Francisco Unified School District is hosting online Community Information Sessions to learn about a proposal for the new elementary Student Assignment Policy. The next one is scheduled for October 27, 28 and 29, or Nov 7. El Distrito Escolar Unificado de San Francisco celebrará Reuniones informativas comunitarias en forma virtual para explicar la propuesta para la Nueva norma de asignación escolar para las escuelas primarias. Las próximas reuniones serán el 27, 28 y 29 de octubre del 2020 y el 7 de noviembre del 2020. La Junta de Educación votará sobre este tema el 8 de diciembre del 2020. African American Parent Advisory Council: Tune into the San Francisco Board of Education meeting on Oct. 20 at 3:00 p.m. This meeting will include a presentation from the SFUSD African American Parent Advisory Council. The school board will discuss a policy related to Lowell High School admissions for Fall 2021, as well as other topics. You can find more info on SFUSD's site.

4. Provide phonetic pronunciation (pro-NUN-see-A-shun) of difficult words and names

Underwriting announcements may not contain price information. You may not say “free,” “sale,” “half-price,” “discount” or mention a fee.
Announcements may not contain comparative or qualitative language, like “the best in our area,” or “the most popular.”
Announcements may not contain a call to action, such as “be sure to attend” or “hurry in today.” Instead say, “More information at…” or “Tickets available at…”
