Oakland mayoral candidate Ken Houston on jobs, homelessness, and moving forward

Oct 15, 2018

Ken Houston was born and raised in Oakland. He still calls the city home. Houston is a project manager in construction and longtime community advocate. He’s running for mayor, but doesn’t call himself a mayoral candidate.

"The city of Oakland is in a boom that will never happen again like this."

He spoke with KALW’s Jenee Darden at Lake Merritt about why he wants to win this election.
