Church Leaders Say They Are Essential And Want To Reopen

A group of pastors from around California gathered in East Oakland, an area hard hit by the coronavirus, calling for Gov. Newsom to allow churches to convene in Phase 2 of the state’s reopening.

"The churches are essential. We need to be in phase two with the restaurants and other things that are open right now." - Bishop Bob Jackson
