Alameda County’s Public Defender Weighs In On Protests And Curfews

The Bay Area protests against ongoing police brutality have caused cities and counties to enact curfews, including Alameda County.

The purpose is to mitigate the destruction of property, but some officials wonder whether that’s a wise measure.

Brendon Woods is the chief public defender of Alameda County and the only black man in that position in the state. In this interview, Woods discusses the protests and what his department is seeing right now.
