Like Boudin, the 40-year-old Jenkins calls herself a “progressive prosecutor,” but left the DA’s office last year and became a critic of Boudin, who was recalled by voters last month.
Jenkins will serve out the remainder of Boudin’s terms, which ends in November. If she wins, she could run for re-election next year.
