Downtown San Francisco’s Contemporary Jewish Museum will shut its doors December 15th, for at least a year, citing lagging attendance.
The museum’s board of directors voted unanimously for the temporary closure to allow the institution to develop “financial stability and a sustainable operating model for the future.”
Two-thirds of the museum’s 30-member staff will be laid off.
