Growing up in a Tongan households, mothers will often ask: what good did you do today? That’s the question I thought of while interviewing Tevita Taumoeanga. Both of us have done things we regret.
This is the story of Tevita’s journey — of losing himself, finding his way back to his culture, and back to the goodness our mothers ask us about.
Mom and dad, I just want to tell you that you guys did nothing wrong. You did what you could. Nothing was in vain.
