Drone Aircraft and the FAA
DRONE AIRCRAFT -- The transportation agency charged with determining airspace traffic and safety requirements for US drone operations is the Federal Aviation Administration. We consider the FAA's mission as it applies to drones, by definition piloted off-vehicle under remote control. Host Jeffrey Hayden welcomes: Edward Page, a certified criminal law trial advocate by the National Board of Trial Advocacy, a Florida Supreme Court Circuit Court Mediator, a commercial pilot & flight instructor, and a partner in the Tampa, Florida, law firm of Carlton, Fields, Jorden & Burt; Ronald Rohde, a patent law attorney, arbitrator for the Better Business Bureau's Lemon Law disputes, an instrument-rated private pilot who has represented pilots before the FAA, with his law office in Palo Alto, California.
