The Spot: The definition of 'Errthang'
This week on KALW's showcase for the best stories from public radio podcasts and independent radio producers...
"Big Brother Almighty," produced by Al Letson for his podcast, Errthang, May 2015.
You know Al Letson as the host and creator of the radio show and podcast, State of the Re:Union (which just won a Peabody Award), and as the host of the Center for Investigative Reporting’s Reveal. Looking beyond radio though, he’s known to dabble in all kinds of other storytelling trades. Next week, he’s launching a new podcast called Errthang, where he explores all of the stories, writers, friends, music, and everything else that influences him. He’s giving KALW listeners the first peek at episode number one, before the podcast launches. How cool is that?
You'll be able to subscribe to Errthang's podcast feed in iTunes on May 12th. In the meantime, all you need to know about the show can be found at errthangshow.com.
A big, special thanks to Al Letson for sharing Errthang with us, before you can hear it anywhere else.
Sunday is Mother's Day, and KALW correspondent Sandip Roy recently told the story about his woes with the technologies he uses to speak with his mother, and he shares his observations on how the way we communicate affects our larger community.

Tune in on May 28th for another episode of The Spot, only on KALW San Francisco.
