City Visions: San Francisco International Film Festival

SF International Film Festival
SF International Film Festival

April 2, 2018: The San Francisco International Film Festival starts April 4th. Over 200 works will screen over two weeks. In a time when more people are watching movies on their devices than in theatres, what is the future of film? Will the #MeToo and #TimesUp movements change who's making films and whose stories get told?

Rod Armstrong, senior programmer at the SF International Film Festival, responsible for helping to select the films that will be shown over the next two weeks.

Rob Epstein and Jeffrey Friedman, two local Bay Area documentary filmmakers whose works include the Oscar award-winning “The Times of Harvey Milk”, “Common Threads: Stories from the Quilt” and “Howl”.  They will be receiving the George Gund III Craft of Cinema Award at this year’s festival, and also have a new film “End Game” showing in the Festival.
