Just ahead of the first candlelighting, we'll listen back to music and conversation with three Hanukkah-time visitors: Meshugga Beach Party, purveyors of fine Judeo-surf-rock and their 2011 album Hot Rod Hanukkah; Jeremiah Lockwood, who paid tribute to the classic John Fahey Christmas record with his own 2021 album A Great Miracle: Jeremiah Lockwood’s Guitar Soli Chanukah Record; and David Katznelson of the Idelsohn Society for Musical Preservation, whose 2012 compilation 'Twas the Night Before Hanukkah: The Musical Battle Between Christmas and the Festival of Lights collects rare and iconic holiday music for Jews of both faiths.
