A Complete Unknown: Alternative Soundtrack

Last year's Bob Dylan biopic was nominated for eight Oscars at the Academy Awards, albeit of course not Best Original Song or Score. Just ahead of the Oscars broadcast on March 2, host Devon Strolovitch presented an alternative OST.

This set includes songs that Timothée Chalamet (& co.) perform in the film but are represented by favorite or otherwise meaningful later versions, e.g. the single performance of "A Hard Rain's A-Gonna Fall" from the 1976 Rolling Thunder Revue tour that gave its name to that fall's TV special but was left off the live album. Other songs in the list don't appear in the movie itself but relate to the story, e.g. an acoustic take of a still-unreleased song from Highway 61 Revisited at Newport the day before the infamous full-band performance.

Song to Woody (live in Newcastle UK, 5/08/02)
In The Evening (from the Minnesota Hotel Tape, December 1961)
Blowin' in the Wind (from The Basement Tapes, 1967)
A Hard Rain's A-Gonna Fall (live in Fort Collins CO, 5/23/76)
Masters of War (live at the Grammy Awards, 2/20/91)
Don't Think Twice It's All Right (with Johnny Cash, February 1969)
Big River (from The Basement Tapes, 1967)
It Ain't Me Babe (live in San Jose CA, 12/12/65)
Tombstone Blues (live at the Newport Folk Festival, 7/24/65)
Like A Rolling Stone (live in Manchester UK, 5/17/66)
