The audio documentary series explores LGBTQ history in the Bay Area by re-listening to The Gay Life, a San Francisco radio show that was hosted by Randy Alfred from the late '70s to the early '80s. The original show ran on KSAN in the Bay Area.
On today’s installment, we return to the dawn of LGBT radio in the 1950s and hear how society’s understanding of homosexuality was reflected on the airwaves.
