I Am Legend by Sara B.

I am a. soccer goddess

I have no fear of soccer balls running towrads  my face.

It lives in my soul and bleeds out of my nimble finger tips in to the field.

Racing out of my arms like it was a thrilling dream.

I can see a soccer ball  coming to life.

I can taste the color of jet black and creamy white just like a soccer ball.

I can feel the bitter sorrow in me.

I can smell my opponent rushing by.

I hear the stadium yelling my name. SARA!

I have no fear of pain.

I am a soccer goddess.

I am Sara Baalouach

Kevin Vance created a program of folk music for KALW, A Patchwork Quilt, in October 1991. He grew up in Berkeley during the 1960s and '70s and spent his years learning in public schools, community colleges, bookstores, libraries, and non-commercial radio stations, as well as from the people around him. When he's not on the radio, then he's selling books, taking care of his family, listening to music, entering stuff into a computer, or taking a class.
