PMFA Day Of Action Media List

Note: KALW is participating in Public Media For All's Day of Action on Tuesday November 10, 2020. The information below is for participating staff.

Please prepare for small group sessions on Tuesday, November 10, by reading, listening to, and watching the following materials. We promise there will be no tests or pop quizzes! This is not, by any means, an exhaustive list of resources for the DEI work we are embarking on as a station.

This is just the first step. There is a lot of good content out there. We simply made choices to frame our conversations for the day.

As we work on this together, you are asked to contribute your favorite media on specific and systemic racism, white supremicist culture, unconscious bias, how to create a culture of belonging and collaboration, and more. Please take note of that favorite podcast, reading, video, or website and email it to pmfa@kalw.org with a line or two about what you liked or learned from it.

There's no particular order for the rest of this content. Please review at least one piece from each bullet pointed category before your session on Tuesday morning or afternoon. Feel free to take the morning on Tuesday to review these materials and sign up for an afternoon session.
