City Visions: Fighting for Racial Justice and Jazz Singer Paula West

Shamann Walton and Paula West

How are communities in the Bay Area heeding the call to address systemic racism?  Tonight on our program, we'll discuss recent initiatives introduced in San Francisco and elsewhere in the Bay Area.

We'll consider how the protest movement has been spurring calls for reform and whether they will truly lead to meaningful change. We'll also get the latest on Covid-19 in the Bay Area, and we'll chat with local jazz and cabaret singer Paula West about how she is managing to connect with fans and keep on singing during the pandemic. That’s City Visions this Monday tonight at 6pm.
Guests:

Erin Allday, health reporter, San Francisco Chroncle

Peter Chin-Hong, infectious disease specialist, UCSF

Natalie Gee, Chief of Staff for Supervisor Shamann Walton of San Francisco's 10th district

Joe Eskenazi, editor and columnist, Mission Local

Otis R. Taylor, Jr., East Bay columnist, San Francisco Chronicle

Paula West, San Francisco-based jazz and cabaret singer. A link to her Facebook live-streamed concert can be found here.
