Fog City Blues: Book of J

book_of_j_0.jpg

Son of composer Larry Lockwood and grandson of legendary Cantor Jacob Konigsberg, guitarist and singer Jeremiah Lockwood performs with vocalist and Charming Hostess founder Jewlia Eisenberg in their duo project, Book of J.

Lockwood began his musical career playing on the streets and subways of Manhattan, performing with Piedmont Blues master Carolina Slim and absorbing the deepest layers of American roots music. Eisenberg has made a mark in both the Bay Area and New York avant-rock scenes, forming the female a capella trio Charming Hostess during East Oakland’s experimental music heyday of the 1990s. The duo joins host Devon Strolovitch live in the studio this Wednesday 3/06 at 9 pm for a preview of their March 17 performance at the SFJazz Center.
