This week on Open Air, host David Latulippe talks to comedian and politican Tom Ammiano about his show ‘Mincing Words’, opening September 8 at The Marsh SF, in which he discusses his magical mystery venture into the California State Assembly. Also, a conversation with American mezzo-soprano J’Nai Bridges who makes her San Francisco Opera debut as Bersi in the production of ‘Andrea Chénier’, opening on September 9. Tony Award-nominated composer Andrew Lippa stops by to talk about his show ‘Life of the Party’, currently on stage at TheatreWorks Silicon Valley. Plus, we talk to Usha Srinivasan and Vinita Belani, respectively producer and director of ‘The Conference of the Birds’, a performance based on an ancient Sufi poem in which thirty artists represent ten different dance traditions from four continents.
