Big Basin Redwoods State Park

Marbled murrelets call out from the tops of redwoods in Big Basin State Park. These football shaped seabirds nest in the top of tall, old-growth trees and fly out to the ocean to feed. This was recorded back in the 90s, before murrelets species declined and Big Basin’s forest burned in fire.

This was recorded by Bernie Krause of Wild Sanctuary
