In the evenings in the Sierra foothills, crickets chirp while bullfrogs croak their raspy calls. Bullfrogs were introduced to California but have now become a ubiquitous sound in lakes and ponds across the state. This recording, by Bernie Krause with Wild Sanctuary, was made outside of Red Bluff.
