Prosser: 'The Time Has Come'

Prosser
Prosser

Prosser is the project of multi-instrumentalist Eric Woodruff. Upon the breakup of his Bellingham, Washington "space-rock" band Delay, Woodruff moved 90 miles south to Seattle, leaving the samplers and vocoders behind.

Now favoring a more indie-pop/alt-country sound, Woodruff, a cheap drum set, a couple of microphones, and cellist Dylan Rieck have created an elegant nod to Americana in their basement. Like Neil Young after Trans, Prosser's self-titled debut is a collection of songs from a man who's been outside the stratosphere, but has made a triumphant return to good ol' American pop-rock.

Prosser features a laid-back instrumental ("The Path to a Field..."), a few "Summer Songs" sprinkled about, and the sunny pop of featured track, "The Time Has Come."
