San Franciscans will be making a big decision in a couple weeks about who will lead their city for the next four years. The incumbent, Mayor Ed Lee, is generally expected to win in an off-year election, with a historically low turnout. But there are five other candidates running.
One of them is Stuart Schuffman, better known around San Francisco as Broke-Ass Stuart. As you can probably tell by his alias, Schuffman is running a populist campaign, and he's doing it on the cheap. Schuffman says if he were mayor of San Francisco, he’d stand up to housing developers.
KALW's Ben Trefny sat down with Stuart Schuffman to talk about his campaign for mayor. You can hear the extended interview here.
