One Planet: Monsanto loses cancer lawsuits, faces thousands more


On this edition of Your Call’s One Planet series, we’ll have a conversation about the legal battle over the safety of Monsanto's widely used Roundup weed killer. A jury in Oakland recently awarded a couple $2 billion after finding that Roundup caused their cancer.

Monsanto-Bayer faces an additional 13,000 lawsuits across the country. What is the significance of these lawsuits? And how does the federal government regulate chemicals that are harmful to our health?
