On this edition of Your Call’s Media Roundtable, we'll get the latest on the devastating fires in California. Since August 15, 700 wildfires have charred more than 1.3 million acres and destroyed more than 3,000 structures.
Later in the show, we'll discuss the police shooting of Jacob Blake, a 29-year-old Black father in Kenosha, Wisconsin. His family says he is paralyzed from the waist down. When he woke up in the hospital, his father Jacob Blake Sr. said he asked, 'Why did they shoot me so many times?' Blake Sr. says his son's leg was shackled to the hospital bed.
Then we'll discuss this week's Republican National Convention. According to fact checkers at several media outlets, the speeches were filled with falsehoods and lies.
