109_blog-global-gag-rule-blog-feature.jpg__1200x1200_q75_subsampling-2.jpg

We’ll have a conversation with Françoise Girard, president of the International Women's Health Coalition, about President Donald Trump’s vast expansion of the Mexico City Policy, also known as the "Global Gag Rule."

It would lead to health organizations around the world losing their funding if they provide or even discuss abortion in family planning clinics. More broadly, it affects nearly $9 billion in funding aimed at combating health issues, including HIV/AIDS and Zika. Who is going to be impacted?

Guest:

Françoise Girard, president of the International Women's Health Coalition

Monica Oguttu, executive director of Kisumu Medical & Education Trust (K-MET)
