Your Call: Faculty strike at City College of San Francisco

Laura Flynn
CCSF faculty strike 2016

On the April 27th of Your Call, we’ll discuss the City College of San Francisco (CCSF) faculty strike.
After a year of failed negotiations, the union that represents CCSF faculty has called for a one-day strike. Starting at 8:00 a.m. on Wednesday, teachers and students plan to join picket lines at CCSF campuses across the city.

It’s the first faculty strike in the union’s three-decade history. Union president Tim Killikelly says, “We are striking for the City College San Francisco deserves.”

What are the issues at stake? How can they be resolved? It’s Your Call with Rose Aguilar and you.

Guests:
Timothy Killikelly, president of AFT2121
Rosario Villasana, a CCSF child development instructor
Allan Fisher, CCSF faculty member
