The word home comes to mind when you listen to the music of Kacey Johansing. Whether it’s the scene she paints describing the people and places along the California coast, which she nows calls home, or songs thinking back to Lake Michigan and the loved ones who used to walk the shores alongside her. From dreamy pop ballads to tragic love songs, her record collection gives a glimpse into why her music is so hard to ignore.
Catch Kacey Johansing at the Chapel in San Francisco on February 18 with Farralons and EDJ (Eric D. Johnson of Fruit Bats).
