The 14th annual DjangoFest Mill Valley, which returns to the Throckmorton Theatre Labor Day Weekend, pays tribute to the great Django Reinhardt, who set the standard for what we now know as Gypsy Jazz.
The festival kicks off Thursday with a performance by Dutch violinist Tim Kliphuis, guitarist Brad Brose and bassist Simon Planting, followed by an After Party Celebration. Friday night’s concert features Antoine Boyer & Samuelito with local sextet Barrio Manouche opening. Members of Barrio Manouche will join host Devon Strolovitch Wednesday 8/29 at 10 pm for an on-air preview.
