This week on Open Air, host David Latulippe talks with actresses Stacy Ross and Martha Brigham, who star as controversial 1930’s German filmmaker Leni Riefenstahl at different stages in her life in the play ‘Leni’, currently at the Aurora Theatre in Berkeley, through May 7.
Hanneke van Proosdij, co-director of San Francisco based Early Music Ensemble Voices of Music, shares details about the 10th anniversary of the ensemble and this weekend’s concerts in Palo Alto (March 17), San Francisco (March 18), and Berkeley (March 19), featuring sopranos Stefanie True and Meg Bragle in Pergolesi's Stabat Mater; violinist Cynthia Miller Freivogel performing Vivaldi's Summer from the ‘Four Seasons’, and arias by Handel and Bach.
Also, a conversation with actress Ayesha Jordan, who plays ‘The Girl’ in ‘Eclipsed’, the story of five extraordinary women brought together by upheaval in their homeland of Liberia, currently at the newly renovated Curran theater in San Francisco.
