Black Cedar Live ~ Taming of the Shrew ~ Virgins & Hipsters ~ From LSD to OMG with Will Durst

This week on Open Air, host David Latulippe is joined by the members of the Black Cedar trio, Kris Palmer, Nancy Kim and Steve Lin, who will perform music for flute, cello and guitar live in the studio. Director Glenn Havlan shares details about the production of Shakespeare's Taming of the Shrew, by the Theater of Others at the Kelly Cullen Community Auditorium, still showing on May 22, 23,  24, 29, 30 and 31. On the phone is writer, performer, & playwright Echo Brown to talk about her solo show Black Virgins Are Not For Hipsters, currently at The Marsh San Francisco. Comedian and satirist Will Durst discusses his latest one-man show, “BoomeRaging: From LSD to OMG”, this weekend at the Theatre on San Pedro Square in San Jose, and on June 5 and 6 at the BelroseTheatre in San Rafael. And regular contributor and critic at large Peter Robinson went to the movies and offers his views on ‘Dior and I’, ‘Iris’ and the exhibit 'Botticelli to Braque, Masterpieces from the National Galleries of Scotland', currently at the De Young Museum in San Francisco.
