Your Call: What can we do to save the monarch?

On today's Your Call, we’ll talk about the plight of the monarch butterfly. Every year, monarchs migrate thousands of miles from Canada to Mexico, but their numbers are rapidly dwindling. Habitat destruction from logging in Mexico and the elimination of milkweed in the US have brought this species to a tipping point.  April 14th is a Day of Action for Monarchs. How can we protect them? And why does it matter?  Join the conversation on the next Your Call with Rose Aguilar and You.

Guests:

Gary Paul Nabhan, writer, food and farming activist, and creator of the Make Way for Monarchs project

Omar Vidal, General Director for World Wildlife Fund in Mexico

Allison Watson, community outreach program manager for the Pacific Grove Museum of Natural History
