  • Palo Alto, Calif., recently hosted a 12-hour bonanza for software developers, artists and families. The "Super Happy Block Party Hackathon" was a marathon for coders to make new software in a short amount of time. It also featured food trucks, music and homemade robots. Corey Takahashi reports.

  • KENT WALKER is the oldest son of Sante Kimes, the 66-year old con-artist and convicted killer. Last year Kimes was convicted along with her other son Kenny Kimes of murdering an elderly Manhattan millionaires. The two have also been connected to the deaths or disappearances of three other wealthy people. Sante Kimes has been dubed the "Dragon Lady." Her other crimes include shoplifting, arson, and slavery. KENT WALKER's book is "Son of a Grifter" (written with Mark Schone, published by William Morrow).
  • The University of Kentucky defeated the University of Kansas 67-59 in the men's basketball final in New Orleans. It's the Wildcats' first title since 1998 and the first ever for head coach John Calipari. Led by tournament MVP Anthony Davis and other young stars, Kentucky dominated the tournament.
