The pileated woodpecker’s drum echoes through Crescent Meadow in Sequoia National Park, an open grassy meadow in the midst of a giant sequoia grove. Places where two habitats meet like this are often the most biodiverse. This was recorded by Bernie Krause, with Wild Sanctuary, and Jack Hines of Ear To The Wild.
