The Oakland Interfaith Gospel Choir – now in it’s 28th year - brings together singers from all faiths to perform music inspired by Oakland’s vibrant black gospel tradition. And every December, they give special holiday shows all over the Bay Area.
The force behind this powerful sound is the choir’s artistic director, Terrance Kelly. KALW’s Julie Caine met up with him to learn about what keeps the choir’s spirit alive.
